The Chemistry Department of the U. S. Naval Academy invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in August 2015.  While the search is open to all areas of chemistry, candidates with a background in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or biology are particularly encouraged to apply.  The Department consists of 34 civilians with Ph.D.’s, and eight military officers with either Ph.D’s or Masters in a chemically related field.  The Department occupies over 52,000 sq ft of recently renovated office, classroom and laboratory space equipped with a wide array of modern instrumentation.  The Department graduates approximately 35 students per year with ACS-certified chemistry degrees.  Additional information about the Chemistry Department at the U.
