Description

Madalyn Radlauer discusses how she teaches the Covalent Bond Classification (CBC) method of electron counting in her undergraduate and graduate courses. Several examples are presented in the recorded SLiThEr as well as some tips on dealing with common student misconception. This learning object also includes some of the materials from her courses: a worksheet on ligand types, a homework assignment on electron counting geared to an undergraduate inorganic course, and a problem set on electron counting geared to an advanced undergraduate or a graduate course. (The implementation notes refer to both the concept of CBC and the attached files.)
