Centre College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of chemistry, beginning August 2014. Candidates with expertise in any area of chemistry will be considered. The six course per year teaching responsibilities will include lectures and laboratories in introductory chemistry courses for science and non-science majors. There may be opportunities for research with undergraduates. A Ph.D. is preferred. Centre College has a strong tradition of excellence in the sciences; the chemistry program is ACS approved.

Teaching Expectations: All members of the program contribute to the general chemistry sequence (CHE 131/132 and 135) and the chemistry for non-majors course (CHE 117). See the chemistry department website for specific course information http://www.centre.edu/academics/majors-minors/chemistry/.
