We are searching at Hamilton College for a tenure-track physical chemist at the Assistant Professor level to start July 2014. Many inorganic chemists double as physical chemists and vice versa so I thought our position might be of interest here.

The specific research area is open (materials chemistry included!) and teaching responsibilities would include junior-level pchem and labs, along with the opportunity to teach in our junior-level research methods course (SuperLab), introductory chemistry, and an advanced course in their area of expertise along with contributing to the introductory lab program. We have a required Senior Project as part of the concentration and all faculty have active summer research programs. The teaching courseload is 3-2 (or 5 courses per year) and lab sections count as one course. We offer generous start-up funding and grant proposal support and have a dedicated 500 square foot research space for this position. Review of application will begin Sept 30 and continue until we fill the position. Information about the position, how to apply, and about Hamilton College and our Department are attached below.
