Hello IONiC VIPEr and friends!

Our next SLiThEr will be September 17th, at 4 PM Eastern (1 PM pacific). Continuing our focus on teaching online in the time of COVID-19, we have invited Dr. Kathleen Field to come and give a short presentation before we engage in our roundtable Discussion. Kathleen earned her PhD from friend-of-IONiC Dr. Alan Goldman at Rutgers, and followed that up with a postdoctoral appointment at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in the lab of Dr. Marion Emmert. She has been a professor at Western Governers University (WGU) for the last 4 years, teaching chemistry online (even before covid-19!). While WGU is a competency-based school, which is different from many of our institutions, Dr. Field's extensive experience with online teaching will certainly be of value to us and we are excited for the presentation and discussion!

You can register here to get a link to the zoom meeting. We hope to see you there!
