I am currently working with a publisher on a new inorganic textbook project. I am contributing a preliminary chapter based upon my research, and we are seeking to invite other authors to contribute a chapter in their area of expertise. In working with the publisher, we identified ten chapters that cover standard junior/senior level inorganic chemistry concepts. Currently, I have identified authors for most of the chapters, but I am still looking for someone who is eager to contribute chapters on acid-base chemistry, s-block chemistry, and p-block chemistry. The chapter length is roughly 35 - 45 typed pages, and the publisher will be providing support in terms of creating figures and tables. I am happy to meet on zoom to discuss the project. The final version of the chapter is due in March 2023. The goal is to start outlining content this summer and formally start writing the chapter this fall.

What I could contribute is not exactly what you have asked for, but maybe it could be a supplemental chapter or just additional information at the end of the S & P block chapters. I know quite a bit about Chemical pyrotechnics and combustion engineering… Many of the chemicals that are relevant to these topics are all about the S and P block. And there’s a reason for this! Again I don’t know if this be useful for your textbook as it needs a good amount of thermal physics….  Anyway let me know what you think!
