FORWARDED MESSAGE

August 18, 2010

Dear Colleague,

It’s nearly the time for the annual Ohio Inorganic Meeting! After hosting the 1st one a decade ago, the Ohio State University Department of Chemistry is pleased to host this year’s event at the Physics Research Building on the OSU campus in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s event will be held October 29th and 30th, 2010, in order to avoid the local events. We will host a poster session in the Friday evening, and the talks on Saturday.

As in years past, this year’s event will provide an excellent opportunity for undergraduates and graduate students to present their research, as either a poster or research talk. Please send to us (e-mail:OIW@chemistry.ohio-state.edu) the names of students/postdocs attending the meeting (indicate whether graduate, undergraduate or postdoctoral), and specify the students giving oral presentation and the students giving poster presentations. I ask that you send this information by September 30.

I suggest you check out Prof. John Protasiewicz’s site for the history of the Ohio Inorganic Meeting and a nearly comprehensive list of inorganic chemists in Ohio: (http://www.case.edu/artsci/chem/faculty/protasiewicz/group/OhioInorgChemistry/OhioI norganic.html). We will try to update the information for this year’s event to this site soon.

Finally, please feel free to forward this to colleagues we have inadvertently missed or to interested parties in neighboring states.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Malcolm Chisholm
